RERTR 2009 International Meeting on Reduced Enrichment for Research and Test Reactors

RERTR 2009The U.S. Department of Energy / National Nuclear Security Administration’s Office of Global Threat Reduction in cooperation with the China Atomic Energy Authority and International Atomic Energy Agency hosted the “RERTR 2009 International Meeting on Reduced Enrichment for Research and Test Reactors.” The meeting was organized by Argonne National Laboratory, China Institute of Atomic Energy and Idaho National Laboratory and was held in Beijing, China from November 1-5, 2009. This was the 31st annual meeting in a series on the same general subject regarding the conversion of reactors within the Global Threat Reduction Initiative (GTRI). Conferences

2009 ANS National Student Conference @ University of Florida
Argonne participated in the annual American Nuclear Society National Student Conference. Argonne’s Nuclear Engineering (NE) and Chemical Science and Engineering (CSE) divisions provided a three-hour workshop on “Design and Simulation of Advanced Fast Reactors and Fuel Recycling Technologies.” The NE and CSE Divisions hosted also an information booth and discussed Argonne’s nuclear science and technology efforts and student opportunities with participants.
