The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), in conjunction with DOE’s Clean Cities Program and Argonne National Laboratory, are pleased to present Clean Cities Transportation Workshop for Almaty, a two day workshop focused on creating a sustainable, safe and effective compressed natural gas (CNG) bus program and for future Kazakhstani users of natural gas in their vehicles. The workshop includes two-days of presentations and discussion on technical and practical aspects of developing and implementing CNG programs locally. A small table-top exhibit, luncheon and reception provide commercial and networking opportunities for all the participants.
Sponsors of this event will be part of the foundation of the Almaty and Kazakhstani emerging market for natural gas vehicles and infrastructure. By participating in this workshop, sponsors are guaranteed a showcase opportunity with key Almaty public and private stakeholders.
Clean Cities Transportation Workshop for Almaty will join stakeholders from the federal and Almaty governments, public and private fleet operators, nongovernmental organizations, and industry from Europe, Kazakhstan, and the United States. This event is a kickoff for this new potential growth market for natural gas vehicles.
Potential sponsors of this workshop should contact: Marcy Rood Werpy, at or 217-362-9844.
