On October 12 Hussein Khalil, director of Argonne’s Nuclear Engineering Division, participated in a Reactor and Fuel Cycle Technologies Subcommittee Meeting of the Blue Ribbon Commission on America's Nuclear Future. The panel's title was "Waste management implications of fuel cycle alternatives".
Dr. Khalil provided in his presentation some perspectives on reactor and fuel cycle technology options that can impact waste management. The presentation is available online. A video recording of the entire meeting is also available at the Blue Ribbon Commission web site.
