Mark Nutt, section manager of the Engineering Assessments Section, gave the presentation, "Nuclear Power - Contributing to U.S. Energy Needs in the 21st Century?" at the University of Wisconsin Women in Nuclear seminar November 19 and again at the National Caucus of Environmental Legislators/Great Lakes region on December 3. The talk considered nuclear power as a part of a complex technical, social, political, and environmental decision-making "framework" and focused on shedding some light on the current and future role of nuclear power within this "framework".
