Current Responsibilities

NE Division

Management of Research and Test Reactor Conversion Department. This includes oversight and coordination of activities of the following sections: Conversion Analysis, Fuel Development and Qualification, and Program Integration Support. Contribution to program coordination and development in the area of National Security.

RERTR

Technical Director, RERTR Program. Responsible for technical coordination of the Reduced Enrichment for Research and Test Reactors program, a U.S. Department of Energy's National Nuclear Security Agency (NNSA) program, which involves feasibility and safety analyses for the conversion of research reactors fueled with high-enriched uranium (HEU) to low-enriched uranium (LEU) fuel, high density LEU fuel development to enable reactor conversion, and LEU-based technologies for the production of Molybdenum-99 for medical applications.


Previous Activities:

Associate Director, Argonne AFC Program. Technical Director of the International Expert Group for the development of assessment methodologies for proliferation resistance and physical protection of Generation IV nuclear energy systems. U.S. system integration manager and representative to the Generation IV International Forum Committee for the Sodium Fast Reactor (SFR).
